Whaleback is like a Bed & Breakfast style experience.
Situated in an older, but attractive farmhouse, Whaleback offers an experience, based around comfortably sitting on the porch and enjoying a friendly conversation. The owners, who are multi generational farmers work the land, share story behind how their wines came to be and some of what you can expect to taste. It's unpretentious, and feels like you're visiting a family, friend or cousin.
Their tastings allow you to try whatever your palate is drawn to, or you can sample all of their offerings.
Feel free to bring your own food including cheese and crackers, or sweet confections to pair with the wines.
Our three favorites were the maple wine, the St.
Croix, and the ruby red. The apple and peach wines are also very unique and flavorful. The winery specializes in cold-weather varietals, and whether you are a fan of sweet or dry wines you will likely find something that hits the spot.

The wine maker spent time oversees studying the wine making process- and it shows. He makes tasting experience extremely enjoyable and you can tell he enjoys discussing his craft with customers.
Another great feature is that Foley Brothers brewery shares the same building- so if you're up for a tasting both products it is very convenient.
