Many people from many places say this is the most beautiful lake they’ve ever been to! It’s my favorite lake & I’ve been to lakes in quite a few states! You can rent stuff to go out on the water at Lake’s End Marina, or you can rent a paddleboard from me for $30 for the duration of your stay. If you rent one or both of my paddle boards you would gps/turn on Big Choga Rd. and follow it aaaallll the way to the end -to the public parking & dock!

Great food & fun

River’s End has great food and views of the river. There’s a bridge across to wading, resting, hammocking & playing games, plus quick food & soft serve ice cream. The store has great outdoor gear & they offer many adventures like zip lining & river rafting in season.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Drive yourself, mostly...

Since there is no public transportation nearby, you’ll need to drive yourself most places. But if the weather is nice, definitely take a stroll through downtown Andrews and up the winding hill or staircase just past the United Methodist Church. The top of that hill is one of the best views around, especially at sunrise or sunset!
Traveling with kids

Fun indoors stuff

Most of my recommendations are for the outdoors, but in case you want to take your kids to do something fun on a rainy day, there is always Downtown Pizza in Murphy (complete with the old-school games & arcade room) as well as bowling at the casino about 20 minutes away.
Don't miss

A sunset drive

There are many stunning views within mere minutes of the house. I highly recommend taking a drive at sunset to find some views. Turning right on Stewart Road (across the highway from Hardee’s) will not disappoint.
