Hideaway bakery is a good way to start your day! Lots of variety, everything's delicious. Tuesday nights in the summer they fire up the pizza oven for a popular outdoor dinner. There's a big covered patio and even a sandbox for the kids to play in.

Parks & Nature

The South peak of Eugene and the best vista in town. 360˚ panoramic views of the southern Willamette valley. Great for watching the sunrise over the distant Cascades, or a sunset over the forested coast range. Perfect picnic spot! Just don't let the chipmunks steal your food... There are several forested routes up to the top of the butte, some steep, some mellow. I like to take the fast route up (15-20 min) and the long way down (45-60 min).
