Saint Boniface - or St.B. - is Winnipeg's "French Quarter". With lots of history, nice old houses, parks, pretty little shops and boutiques, and the downtown just a 5 minute ride away by car or bus, the area is quaint, picturesque and extremely walkable.

In this 20-square-block district, just across the river from my place, everything is less than a 10-minute walk away: an unparalleled collection of independent shops, locally made goods, artist studios, delightfully curated vintage, and Winnipeg’s longest operating toy-store. The Exchange District is the perfect place to discover something new! Look up walk in the Exchange here: https://exchangedistrict.org/first-fridays-in-the-exchange/

Where two rivers meet you can always expect an ancient trading place, and Winnipeg owes a lot of its cultural vibe to this history. Now it's a market and park space with good food, lots to do, crafts shops - a good place to hang out.

Getting around
Public transport is massively underrated in Winnipeg..
..and parking scarce & expensive in the downtown. Get a peggo card and load it up, rather than fiddling with the exact change.
