London Fields – The Lido and Broadway Market
London fields and Broadway Market is a top hipster hang out. Nonetheless, there are great restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Market day is Saturday. Go for a swim in the open air Lido – queues at the weekend – however, I believe you can book – go to the Better Health website. The London Fields Lido is a 50m Olympic size, heated outdoor swimming pool open all year round - a gorgeous spot for some exercise and people watching! Enjoy a walk along the canal to Victoria Park. Closeby to London Fields is the E5 Bakehouse - Some of the best sourdough bread, among many others, in London. Good cafe too and bread making courses. Under the railway arches in London Fields, a very cool neighbourhood. Gavin uses their recipes for his bread. Head for a beer in the London Fields Brewery - Located under the railway arches It is part of the craft beer east London renaissance. Not the best place if you want to have a conversation. Visit during the week. Craft brewery with tours of the premises, a brewing school, tutored tasting sessions and a bar.

Absolutely brilliant Neopolitan Pizza and Pasta dishes. We prefer this to Yard Sale Pizza. Both are good but Bocca Bocca just has the a higher selection of toppings.

Great addition to the area. Serves Hong Kong style food. Seems very popular with Hong Kong residents living all over London. Their Singapore noodles are great. It's a bring your own they just charge £2.00 per person cover charge so you can buy wine or beer next door at Sainsbury's local.

Brick Lane Market on Sundays is within walking distance of the Columbia Rd Flower Market, but is a whole other scene. The flower market is quaint and quirky, but Brick Lane is loud, eclectic and fun! It is located at the northern end of Brick Lane and along Cheshire Street, in the heart of East London's. Brick Lane Market Saturdays and especially busy on Sunday Super busy, plenty of market stalls (food, clothing etc.) Brick Lane also has lots of shops and Indian restaurants.
