Locals say it’s the Best Pizza !! It’s just a little dive place, but they have the best pizza around. Outside patio picnic tables, inside dining, carry out and delivery. Ten minutes from the cottage.

Definitely a place that locals frequent. A little farther from the house, (about 20 mins).. but it’s the best Mexican food I’ve found. I usually have the chimichangas. Besides good food and warm, crispy chips, they have a great happy hour with $3 margaritas. While you’re in Hollywood, you should take a walk along the broadwalk by the beach.

Directly on the Hollywood broadwalk, this little hole-in-the-wall is a great place to sit and people watch as you enjoy a mouth-watering, juicy good burger. It’s a bar.. very casual. You can walk up to the place in your swimsuit.. eat, drink and go back to the beach. They are also open late.. 2am. You’ll be glad, when it’s after midnight and you are hungry .. or you want to go hang out at the beach for late night drinks. The broadwalk is lit up at night, so you can enjoy a walk along the ocean as well.

My Favorite Beaches
Roughly 20 minutes away.. it’s a lovely beach with a 5-mile broadwalk. You can walk, run, bike or rollerblade and see the ocean the entire way. There are nice clean bathrooms, lots of places to eat along the way and plenty of umbrella and chair rentals. Parking is metered street parking or a couple of parking garages. I usually park in one of the garages because the car doesn’t get so hot in the sun. Not much difference, if any, in price. Download parking apps recommended.. this will help you wherever you go.

What can I say? Pristine white sand, gorgeous wide beach and all the pretty people. Great place for people watching. Super congested. You will definitely have people all around you.. and you will likely hear many different languages. All ages, but mostly millennials lately. Hard to find parking, but, I do love the beach here. Just depends on what you are looking for... it’s not quiet, it’s more lively. Very Miami in every way. It’s a must, for at least one day, if you’ve never been. About 20 minutes from the cottage.

If you want more privacy, this beach feels like a remote island... yet you are still in Miami. There are never a lot of people here. Sometimes you could be the only ones on the beach. Feel like it’s Miami’s best kept secret. Parking is easy. But don’t expect to find food, drinks or chair rentals. You will need to take whatever you need and it’s about a 20 minute drive south on i95.

Wynwood Walls and the entire area of Wynwood is very trendy, artsy, eclectic, up and coming.. and definitely a place worth going. I’m an artist, so I love this place, but it really has something for everyone. Lots of little places to stop in and shop or get something to eat along the way ...and plenty of galleries to view art. (While in Wynwood, Kush or the Wynwood Diner would be food recommendations).
