Getting around
Catch a bus downtown on the corner.
The bus stop for the 11B and 11C routes is right in front of the house. It will take you to the Hyatt Regency and other key downtown locations before crossing the Mississippi River to trendy Northeast Minneapolis. A bus schedule is in the room or visit metrotransit.org to plan your trip. Other bus routes and light rail are also nearby.

A little about our building
In the 1880s, this neighborhood was filled with stately homes and estates. There is a book about them in the apartment. Across the street where the park is today, U.S. Sen. William Washburn built a fairytale mansion called "Fair Oaks." Our building was originally a grand single-family home that began renting our rooms by 1895 and converted into apartments in 1907. It was a rooming house after WWII. Today, the building holds a Tier 1 license, designating it as a well-run and safe property in Minneapolis.
