Beaches

Las Ballenas is one of the most beautiful beaches in Las Terrenas, and only a few minutes walk from the villa. There are plenty of restaurants and bars along the beach. Rent a beach chair and spend all day sunbathing, walking, or just relaxing.

Our favorite day trips

Los Haitises is worth a day-trip. Excursions are available to visit the park (we can suggest guides) which is absolutely beautiful. We usually have lunch and spend the afternoon at the Caño Hondo Hotel. Nice pools and service.

Traveler advice

Don't miss

El Limon waterfall

El Limon is a local not to miss attraction about 20 minutes away from Las Terrenas. Horses are available for the trek, but one can walk (uneven terrain with slopes) making it a great exercise too. The color of the water is simply beautiful and taking a dip is refreshing after getting there. Have a simple but delicious lunch at one of the many stops and go back to Las Ballenas for the sunset.
