Falls Creek is a great place to visit, particularly if you are looking for an adventure. Snow play, skiing & boarding in winter and biking, paddling and walking in summer (resort entry fees apply in winter). Approx 45 minute drive (though you may need to allow more time for winter traffic and conditions).

The oldest cattleman's hut still standing in Victoria's high country. Drive around 10km past Falls Creek towards Omeo. Carpark with information boards on the left. A 500m walk down to the hut. Not accessible in winter.

Near the start of Pebble Beach Walking Trail is a picnic area on the Kiewa River, with wooden tables. The river water can be quite chilly, even in summer. The river can flow quite quickly, supervision of kids is essential.
