One of a kind AND the best Indonesian food you could possibly get your hands on in Rotterdam! Albert and Marjolein are great hosts, and worth visiting even without the food. Do try their homemade alcohalfree bir pletok - it's a classic!

This is the ice cream parlour of the famous vintage burger tent Gracy's. Go here for the best ice cream experience in the city! Gracy's serves up good quality ice cream in exiting flavours - in fried bao buns or bubble waffles (sort of a crossover between een wafel en poffertjes :-)).
Gracy's is situated on a rather unassuming little square, but turn the corner and your on the lively Schouwburgplein. Last time we where there, we took our Bao Icecream to watch a hip hop battle. Only in Rotterdam!

The Zuiderpark is a huge park in the South of Rotterdam. We like to go there for kayaking or frisbeeing. It has a little beach and a big playground. Also: it's a good reason to visit the south of Rotterdam, which is often neglected by tourists.

A must-visit when in Rotterdam-West! The Euromast, a rotating glass elevator that takes you no less than 185 meters into the air, gives a great view of the best city in the world. On clear days you can enjoy a view that stretches as far as 30 km into the distance. In the evening it even looks as though the stars come to life...
The Euromast was built in 1960and back then the highest tower in the Rotterdam. Ofcourse, nowadays, it's somewhat dwarfed by the Rotterdam skyline, but it is still the highest tower that is open to the public.
The cafe is fine, but it's much nicer to go into the adjacent park and have a coffee at Parqiet, the best park cafe in the city!

Hotel New York is a classic. Both the inside (check out the cute little guest/pastryshop and the gigantic seafood bar, and the rather famous wall art by Jules Deelder) and the outside, with it's beautiful view of the Meuse, Katendrecht, the Erasmusbrug. There's also a playing ground, so bring your kids and hang out here for a bit!
