Hiking & Mountain Biking Trails
The Colorado Springs area has hundreds of miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Check online or trail apps to get details for most. We have some paper trail maps and guides available to borrow in the AirBnb space. Trails apps I recommend are COTREX (Colorado Trail Explorer) and AllTrails. Because of limited cell phone connectivity in many areas, I recommend downloading the maps onto your device before your outing. Some areas with visitor centers have printed trail maps available. Specific detailed trail maps for more remote, backcountry areas can be purchased at outdoor gear retailers like Mountain Chalet here in town.
Be Safe! it is important to have appropriate footwear and gear including lots of water. Be aware of the dangers of trail use including injury due to falls, altitude sickness, dehydration, lightening and other bad weather and wildlife.
