Ennerdale water is about 20 minutes away from the house. Definitely one of the quietest lakes there is a 3 to 4 hour walk around it which is reasonably flat.

Sea front

The house is close to the fells but also only 20 minutes from the cost.
A pretty stoney beach with two car parks and public toilets. From here you can walk up the hill to St Bees lighthouse. Also,the start(or end) for anyone doing the coast to coast walk. There is also a small cafe there serving tasty meals.

Built on the Lingholm estate there is a strong tie to Beatrix potter as she stayed there for many years. The food is amazing and the views over the walled garden.
