The best french toast, waffles, and homemade breakfast/lunch. A little pricer but well worth the quality. The espresso bar drinks are served in French style "bowls" which made me giggle the first time I ordered a large cappuccino. Go during off-peak breakfast/lunch hours for the best seating in the window.

Way better than Chipotle - try everything from breakfast tacos to barbacoa nachos. There are healthy options but you may have to remind them that with your egg white breakfast tacos, please use little to no oil.

Possibly the one and only book store left on Capitol Hill. This used book store will not let you down as you are captivated by the stacks as you wander the three story row house and let your next book choose you.
