Hikes, Beaches and Excursions:
- Cougars and bears are often sighted in this area. Please hike in groups, and carry a sound maker when hiking.
- Cowichan Bay Estuary hike begins at the head of the bay. Turn right onto the Cowichan Bay rd and pass through the village and travel about 5 km and cross a bridge. The parking area is about 200 yards pass the bridge on the right just before the signs that take you back to the Island Hwy.
- Kinsol trestle. Turn right on Cowichan Bay Rd and right again on Kokisilah rd and cross over the highway at the light. Travel another 4 km until you cross a one

Wine Tours and Great Seafood
So much to see and so little time. There is a great level hike at the mouth of Cowichan bay that takes you our to the estuary to see interesting birds etc. Turn left onto Cowichan Bay rd. and go through the village and travel about 7 to 8 Km. until the road turns right and passes over the Kokisilah River bridge. About 200 yards pass the bridge on the right is the parking place for the hike and just follow the path from there.
Great place to stroll and poke in the shops and try some local cuisine.
