Drive down to the east end of the island as far as the road takes you. From there you can get out walk to the end of the island either by road, past the barricade or by the beach. I like to do a loop. You can see the light house from the end and often there are dolphins close to shore.

On the weekends, the beach can get pretty crowded at this part of the island. If you drive east, the further you go it becomes less crowded. There’s an area just past 13th st. called the “washout” that is where the surfers go. If you continue on, it becomes less populated. If you go all the way to the end, you can park and walk to the end and see the light house, across the inlet on Morris Island. Alternatively, the far west end of the island is a county park. There’s a small fee to park. There are bathrooms and a concession stand.

Located on James Island, a few miles from the beach, on Folly Rd. I've eaten here recently and it was pretty good! It's probably not worth leaving the island for, but if you are off the island anyway, I recommend it.

This is a fun thing to do! All you need to bring is a towel to use as a mat and maybe water or sunscreen. The class is usually easy and restorative. The cost is whatever you want to donate. Look on Facebook for the most up to date schedule . Serenity Tree Yoga.
