This is one of my favourite places to go for a coffee and a sandwich. The menu is not extensive but it's good value for money and you are sat in a setting which was built 600 years ago. During the summer months they have tables outside.

Highly recommend the all you can eat hot buffet breakfast (£9.50), including fruit juices, teas and Costa coffees. Suggest you reserve in advance as it get very busy especially on a weekend.

To travel by bus in York this is operated by First Bus York There is a non stop bus service from York to Leeds the service is operated by City Zap You can travel to the Malton/Pickering/North Yorkshire Moors/Whitby and Scarborough service is operated by Coastliner. You can travel to Selby and the service is operated by Arriva. Please check relevant websites for up to date information. All services except to Selby can be caught from outside the house.
Getting around

Trains

York is ideally situated to get to most places by train, please refer to National Rail Enquiries for further information. If you are planning a day trip to Knaresborough or Harrogate I would recommend the train.
