Book in Advance as this place is very popular with both locals and travelers. Family run restaurant serving the Best Souvla (slowly barbecued large chunks of meat seasoned and cooked to perfection) delicious potatoes and crispy fresh salad. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, you just need to mention it when you book and upon arrival. This restaurant offers the best sea views on the island due to its location at the entrance of the Akamas Peninsula. You can turn it into a day trip by combining it with the Avakas Gorge trek which is right next to it, then indulge in the yummiest lunch and ice cold drinks, then off to the stunning Lara Bay for a swim where you might be lucky enough to witness the birth of baby turtles. VIKLARI - THE LAST CASTLE shouldn’t be missed. It is a favourite of ours and I’m sure will also become yours.

Sightseeing
The Avakas Gorge is in the entrance of the Akamas Peninsula. Great for hiking, amazingly created by nature this area remains untouched and blessed with natural beauty. Upon leaving you may stop off at Viklari - The Last Castle for lunch. Situated at the tip of the cliff next to Avakas Gorge outdoor seating with the most amazing views of the peninsula and possible in Cyprus. Let me add they serve the best souvla you will ever try. This one's a must.

Traveler advice
Getting around
Car is recommended.
Hiring a car is highly recommended. Public transport is available and reliable within the city and between some places of interest. There is also bus services (Intercity buses) that connect all the major cities (Limassol, Nicosia, Larnaca, Protaras-Paralimni). Bus fares are reasonable. Taxi service is also reasonably priced but can be expensive if it will be your only means of transport.
