William H Seward Home. Seward was secretary of state to President Lincoln and survived an assassination attempt the same night that Lincoln was killed only because of a neck brace he was wearing. He is also one of the key figures responsible for the purchase of Alaska and his home has been preserved and is filled with family heirlooms. If you are into history you need to see Seward House while in Auburn.

* Guided tours start on the hour. The last tour of the day begins at 4 pm.
* On the first Friday of each month, March – November, the last tours of the day will be at 3 pm.
The Museum will reopen at 5 pm for a First Friday Community event.
