Customs and culture
USE THE CROSSWALK BUTTONS
Hot Springs is a busy town year round. Be sure to always push the buttons at crosswalks so the pedestrian sign will start flashing to alert drivers to stop. Do not assume they will automatically stop. Locals know to watch the signs, but I can't guarantee tourists will be paying attention to them.
