This is a West Seattle institution! It has been family-run for several generations. We love to go here for their soup and sandwiches when it's rainy and their hand-churned ice cream when it's hot. These guys are not fast, though. If you're in a hurry, you can call ahead and pick it up. Sandwich Menu: http://www.huskydeli.com/sandwiches

You are within walking distance of some delicious burgers, my friend! I like the Classic, myself, but I've tried just about every burger and loved them all. They also have gluten-free and vegetarian options available.

This is West Seattle's ramenya. It is part of a chain so it's a little basic but, nonetheless, delicious. It is definitely not gluten-free friendly but it is vegetarian friendly. My favorite things: takoyaki and koi pond.

This place is right on Alki beach and great for a romantic evening. Try to make a reservation because this place does fill up. They have great wine and service but the biggest reason I like going is for their BANANA FOSTER! YAAASSSSS!!!!!

When you need some good-old-fashion American teriyaki, Nikko's is the place to go. The place is small so we usually call in our order and bring it home since it's about a two minute drive from the house. My favorite dish: spicy teriyaki. My husband's: chicken katsu and teriyaki combo.

We love this beach because it's so easy to get to from our home. It has a nice, flat boardwalk to strolling along. You can even rent kayaks, SUP boards, and bikes. I personally like going for the people-watching and sunsets.

Honestly, we drove past Camp Long a hundred times before we ever went in. It is such a cool space and so close to the house.

This park is pretty big. Lots of room to run around, easy trails, large playgrounds, and water access. It's very close to the Fauntleroy ferry so you can watch them dock from the park. This is one of our favorite spots in West Seattle.

That giant mountain you see when you cross the West Seattle Bridge is Mt. Rainier and it is even more glorious and majestic in person. If you have time, take a day trip to Mt. Rainier. Do it.

You get to take the Fauntleroy ferry! We just recently did a hike on Mt. Eleanor. That hike is really for people who are in-shape but the views are spectacular and the mountain goats are... not going to get out of the way for you so it's best to just walk around them.
