Cafe Rio is a Utah favorite and if you have never eaten here you HAVE TO. We always get the pork salad or pork burrito.

This is my favorite restaurant of all. It isn't super fancy but it definitely isn't fast food. Get the turkey sandwich with swiss and avocado. It is to die for.

Smith's is a cheaper grocery store than Harmon's and is just up the street from our home (3215 S Valley St, Salt Lake City, UT 84109). It is a 7 minute drive. They have a wider variety of things but cheaper.

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain you see to the east. This is the trailhead to reach the top of this mountain. It is very difficult and it is an all day ordeal. Most people start very early morning and finish late in the day. It is an amazing view at the end over the entire valley.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Personal car, UBER, LYFT, scooter, or bus are best travel.

I've never personally used the bus system. I would first choose a car, then UBER or LYFT, and then a scooter company with either Bird or Lime. The scooters are cheap and actually a decent way to get around the city.
Ways to save

REI rents out equipment

REI is on the top of 3300 South right next to our home (3285 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84109). REI has equipment to ski, snowboard, rock climb, camp, snowshoe, etc. Instead of traveling with your equipment it might be easier to rent.

The University of Utah rents out cheap outdoor equipment

Instead of traveling with your equipment it might be easier to rent. The U of U rents out equipment for water and snow sports, camping gear, bike gear, climbing gear, and games. They are very cheap. Go to this website: https://campusrec.utah.edu/programs/outdoor-adventures/rental/index.php
