Lacock village is mostly owned by the National Trust. And id attractive for its un-spoilt appearance. Lacock Abbey contains the Fox Talbot museum which holds what is possibly the oldest photographic negative known. And the building was used for filming parts of Harry Potter.

Generally a quiet place to take a walk round the lake or through the woodland. Cafe by the lake. Parking not charged but an honesty box in situ.

Edington village is where King Alfred battled the Danes in 878AD. Edington Church holds the annual liturgy music festival in late August. It has a great Pub, farm shop and micro brewery. Easy access to Salisbury Plain and the Westbury White Horse from the village.
