The Partridge Inn
Charlton RoadHigh quality British food; a first class pub
Local friends recently bought this village pub and refurbished it throughout sympathetically, giving the kitchen and restaurant a new lease of life. The bar is still warm and welcoming and the food is excellent. The best thing about the Horse & Groom though is that it’s a five minute walk from Kingley Vale House, so great to pop to for a quick drink or for a night when someone else can do the cooking for you.

East Wittering
It's fabulous, and slightly quieter than West Wittering
It's very famous, and quite rightly. Don't stop at the first grain of sand: keep walking and you'll find peace and quiet.

Like nowhere on earth. The oldest living things in Europe are here - the incredible and vast yew trees
The views are astonishing. It’s a good hike but for the less able-bodied, the summit is only a few hundred yards from where the steepness starts so you can wave at those left below! Worth a climb for the views though. The whole ups and down trip will take 2.5 hours or so from Kingley Vale House, depending on your speed.
