Neighbourhoods
The king valley has a very historical background. It is Ned Kelly's old stomping grounds, where he and fellow bush rangers would travel through the region pillaging and causing trouble. The area was synonymously known for tobacco production, but with the legislation an removal of tobacco plantations, vineyards were born. With heavy Italian influences from migration during the tobacco periods, you can expect to find Italian varieties of wine throughout the cellar doors of the region, with the first Prosecco planting in Australia in the King Valley. Situated between the snow fields of Bulla and Hotham, the alpine region is nothing short of magnificent. The King river borders our property, which feeds from Lake William hovel.
Overall you will find the scenery breath taking, and the locals to be friendly and helpful. Whether wining and dining is your thing, or you are a looking to get in touch with nature, there is something fro everyone in the King Valley.
