We have a walking trail called the Bosque, when you leave the front door there are 2 ways to access it; 1) At the corner cross the street walk down toward the major hwy (528) you will come upon a drive way that is filled with rocks turn right into it, walk all the way down and you will see a big walking trail lined with Trees, it is amazing there! 2) From the corner cross the street walk the other way and you will see a field, go under the wire fence and keep walking to the trail that lines the rivers edge, if you like bird watching this is the place to be. If you keep walking down the trail you will find a little beach area to rest at. it is about 1 1/2 miles down the path. Enjoy

If you want to experience the most beautiful drive, take hwy 4 all the way to Santa Fe, you will see landscape changes that are unbelievable , from red rock to lime stone to pine trees, and to top it off there is a volcano right in the middle of it all. There are many hiking spots to enjoy!
