They replaced the Joliet JackHammers of the Northern League after the franchise was crippled by numerous financial issues.

Always a great time have had some really good wins here. Bartenders are very friendly as well as staff.

The University of St. Francis grew out of an earlier high school and Sisters’ Normal Institute (an institution created to train high school graduates to be teachers) by the Congregation of the Sisters of St Francis of Mary Immaculate established on August 2, 1865 by Mother Alfred Moes. By 1869 a boarding school for high school girls opened in Joliet called the St. Francis Academy. The Institute became a college, The Sisters’ Normal Institute of Higher Learning, in 1920.

The Forest Preserve District of Will County's Joliet Iron Works Historic Site provides a parking area, shelter, latrine, water fountain, and access to the 10.81-mile, paved/limestone I&M Canal Trail/Centennial Trail. The site protects foundations of blast furnaces and other structures from a dismantled iron manufacturing facility that operated from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. A 0.59-mile trail offers self-guided interpretive tours of the site's historical significance. Open 8 a.m.-sunset.

It is over 600 sq acres with a creek going through it. It is a quiet, beautiful park with many, wheelchair accessible, trails. They have a nature center with live exhibits of turtles, snakes, etc. I can’t say enough good things about this place! And this is all free!

A nice natural park and preserve. Lots of natural areas, and some manicured areas too. Plenty of parking and a trail out to view the canal area
