Sightseeing

A bit further down the road from Silverton, you will find Ouray. This is one of our favorites. It's gorgeous and a fun place to stop for lunch and a soak in the local hot springs. We also love to take a short hike to the waterfall and hike around the perimeter trail. Enjoy!

This historic mining town is 1 hour North of Durango. You can take the train or drive up Hwy 550. We love to stop into Handlebars restaurant for a burger and cobbler. Silverton is one of our favorite Fourth of July spots to see the fireworks. If you are looking to hike and backpack, this is the hub for some of the best wilderness excursions.
