A wonderful hiking spot! Be sure to check out Paradise Falls (if they’re open). Please remember there are many rattlesnakes in Southern California, especially in warmer weather.

While there are 27 miles of gorgeous beaches in Malibu (including Zuma, Point Dume, and Paradise Cove), many consider El Matador Beach the most beautiful and picturesque of them all. Just be ready for a steep downhill climb to get down to the beach (and then get back up!). Enjoy!

Traveler advice
What to pack
Prepare for cool nights!
Southern California is known for having many warm, sunny days (though we also get rain in the winter and spring!), but many don’t know that the temperature drops at night, and it can be quite cool. Evenings in the summer are usually in the 60s and, in the winter, it can drop into the 40s and even upper 30s. Remember to pack warm clothes for our cooler evenings. :)
