Greymouth
Great to walk around and view informative paintings on the walls of the old buildings
Learn about Greymouth's history on the Flood Wall or get a birds eye view of the Grey River from the viewing platform. You can walk or bike along the wall as well, as this is the beginning of the Wilderness Cycle Trail.

Walk the pancake rock walkway or venture to Truman's Track for a less-travelled experience. You can also hire canoes or enjoy a meal at the tavern. It’s approx 40 minute drive North from Greymouth

Great lake for water sports or walking. There is also a cafe (overlooking the lake) and pub nearby for meals. The swing bridge is also a highlight and loops with a great short walk.

Nelson Creek is an excellent spot to go walking, camping and exploring. With historic water races, tunnels, recreational gold fossicking and a number of short walks, there is plenty to do.
The suspension bridge crossing Nelson Creek is a historic bridge. It was originally built in 1872.
There is a Hotel there which serves food and drink.

25-30 minute' drive from Bach 471 - and worth it for the delicious pizzas. You can eat in, but I'd recommend taking it away to eat at the beach!
