A bit of history
This is a special place -- a close-knit village with roots with the early Dutch settlers, on Mohican tribal land, reportedly near a sacred gathering site which united many tribes. The village emanates a rare quiet and warmth.
There is so much to see and do here. We hope you will take advantage of the riverfront views, the beautiful local Victorian era architecture. A walk along the river just might lead you to spot some of the bald eagles who nest just north of town.
