Idaho City is one of the most historically rich places in the state. Considered an authentic Wild West town, many of its original structures remain...including the town's cemetery.
The cemetery lies just outside of Idaho City and is home to over 3,000 graves. That's a lot of graves for such a remote part of Idaho but it makes sense considering Idaho City was a quintessential "rough and tumble" mining town.

Getting around
Bring chains and extra sand in the winter!
Ice and snow can be slippery and create a mess for driving conditions. We are a mountain town. It's never a bad idea to bring chains and san bags for those unexpected situations.
