Beaches
These are the local beaches we recommend - some that are a walk or short bike ride away, others that you’ll need to to drive to (but they’re SO worth it)!
This small, quiet beach is 0.7 mi from Seahorse Cottage and features gentle waves. Ride the bikes we provide down to the beach, or bring the provided beach wagon if you’d rather walk. If you choose to drive there is a parking g lot at the beach.

One of the most beautiful beaches on the cape (and in the entire country)! Soft sand, calm shallow bay waters and amazing tide pools to explore. The beach is long and deep so there’s plenty of space to spread out.
The sunsets are amazing - we often go just to watch the amazing pink and orange skies as the sun drops behind the horizon.

The perfect beach for young kids. Shallow, calm waters are perfect for toddlers and new swimmers. During low tide you can explore the tide pools and look for hermit crabs. There’s even a food stand to grab lunch, snacks and drinks - and a small playground.
During summer months arrive early to get a parking spot!

Fried seafood with a cold beer while feeling the ocean breeze is a quintessential part of any Cape Cod vacation. Sand Bar is hands down our favorite spot. Excellent food and a picture perfect location along the marsh, a stones throw from West Dennis Beach. Watch the kayakers paddle by whike you enjoy a lobster roll, fish & chips or fried clams! After a day at the beach, nothing is better than an ice cream cone, sundae or milkshake to cool off. Sundae School is an old school ice cream shop that will bring back memories from your childhood. Great ice cream, lots of flavors and plenty of parking / picnic tables.
