Coming during the summer? Rent a boat! Do it as soon as you book. They will sell out. This is about a mile up the road from the house. There are other marinas on the lake, but this is the closest. https://www.alarkamarina.com/ (Almond Boat & RV park is another good choice.)

A great local brewery, downtown and right on the river. Get up to the roof deck! They usually have a food truck on-site. Take the growlers at the house and bring your favorite brews back to enjoy by the fire.

The train passes above the property (it's not loud), so if you sit on the right side, you can look down and say, "there's our house!" This is a scenic ride and provides for a relaxing afternoon through the mountains.
