Coming during the summer? Rent a boat! Do it as soon as you book. They will sell out. This is about a mile up the road from the house. There are other marinas on the lake, but this is the closest. https://www.alarkamarina.com/ (Almond Boat & RV park is another good choice.)

The train passes above the property (it's not loud), so if you sit on the right side, you can look down and say, "there's our house!" This is a scenic ride and provides for a relaxing afternoon through the mountains.
