Just minutes from downtown Kansas City, Swope Park is Kansas City’s largest park, and one of the largest urban parks in the United States.
Starlight Theatre, located in Swope Park, is the largest and oldest performing arts organization in Kansas City and the second largest theatre of its kind in the United States. Phone: 816-363-7827
More than just a canopy tour, the Go Ape Swope Park zipline and ropes course has 45 exciting obstacles including a giant Tarzan Swing, Wobbly Ladders and Dangling Bridges. While navigating the course, you’ll fly down five zip lines–the longest being 475 feet in length.
Instead of its being hauled away for pulping or incineration, Dylan Mortimer adorned the tree with a coating of metallic glitter, lending it a vibrant intensity that can be read as the reassuring glow of a slowly dying ember, or a symbol of the persistence of life in the face of death and decay.
5am- midnight 5051 E. Gregory Boulevard
The dog park sits on five acres, divided into two areas–one for smaller and one for larger dogs. Pups under 30 pounds (or elderly or handicapped dogs) have one-acre fenced off while big dogs have four full acres. Both areas have dog/people water fountains.

It's not so much thin walls (thick firewalls actually) but the hardwood floors that reminds you of your neighbors.
