Street Food Vendors
Most days a few local street food vendors will pass buy with their food carts. Champurrado is a Mexican hot chocolate drink. Great to mix in to your coffee or as a sweet treat on it's own. Tamales are a Mexican dish made of sweet or savory stuffed & steamed cornmeal. You can grab them every day for a couple dollars right from the front porch.
Getting around
Go north or west when exploring nearby local neighborhoods
The Brunch House is in an up and coming neighborhood. The convenient, central location is a huge asset. Being situated in central San Diego with EVERYTHING nearby does mean that there are some rough around the edges places nearby, as well. In general, if you are going to explore nearby neighborhoods, heading north or west are better options. If you're headed to Barrio Logan (which we do recommend), you'll want to take a car even though it's less than a mile away.
