This is one of the most famous restaurants in Asheville, a Spanish tapas restaurant, and the food is phenomenal. Make sure you reserve this one as far in advance as possible.

City/town information

Hot Springs is famous for its hot baths which you can reserve in advance at the Hot Springs Resort and Spa. There's nothing as relaxing as soaking in the (private) hot tub while feeling the breeze blowing from the river nearby. If you feel like it you can also do a small hike nearby and eat lunch in the town of Hot Springs to make a day trip out of it. If you're super active and adventurous you can even try the Max Patch to Hot Springs hike (20 miles) on the Appalachian Trail and soak in the Hot Springs when you get there.

Brevard is my favorite small town near Asheville. It's famous for its waterfalls and outdoor activities. If you want to go swimming, tubing, hiking, trail running, etc, Brevard has more options than pretty much anywhere. It also has a cute historic downtown with lots of restaurants and shops.
