Sand Harbor is simply the best beach on the lake - and that makes it very popular! Show up early if you plan to stay the day there - the parking lot usually fills up by 8 am. They typically reopen the gates in the evening as well if you want to enjoy a walk at sunset.

Take a Day Trip Around the Lake
One of our favorite things to do is take the whole day and drive around the lake. It is 72 miles, and you'll have incredible views the entire time, get to stop at all the local hotspots, and enjoy Tahoe as you never have before!
