This is a personal favourite restaurant of ours. We can't go here without having Karena's amazing dumplings. Plus the Pork Buns are a staple diet of locals. Watch that chilli sauce - it's hot! We also love their steaks, and Becky is obsessed with the Kangaroo Tartare which is seasonal but delicious! Don't miss dessert or the amazing wine cellar. Great selection of gins too, plus good zero-alcoholic drinks for the driver (Becky loves their Seedlip and tonic mocktails).

The Victory Hotel is a 25-minute drive away but worth it. Think of it as a posh pub. Great steaks, though the Victory Burger is a great easy eat! Great local wine list here too. Definitely book.

The Hagen Arms is a drive in the opposite direction of McLaren Vale but is worth it for the cosy pub and restaurant feels. Some good local wines on offer here and we've never been disappointed with their menu. On our last visit with had a good old Chicken Parmy and it was delicious!
