The Eastern Trail goes through Portland, Scarborough, Old Orchard Beach, and Saco, Maine. It is a little over twenty-eight miles long and is considered an easy trail because there isn’t that much elevation difference, and the terrain isn’t rugged compared to other trails in the area. You can rent a bike and cycle along the trail. The trail is also great for walking, bird watching, and it’s kid and dog-friendly, and strollers are also allowed.

If you want to explore some of the island's around Maine, the Casco Bay Ferry lines is the way to do it. The ferry goes to several nearby islands, including Peak's Island. The Peak's Island ferry is the busiest, and has the most ferries. Peak's island is fun to walk, or bike around, or rent a golf cart to tour. The island is small enough to get around in a day, and has some really great lookout points and restaurants.
