Kayaking – really something that has to be done, we are on the edge of Carrick Roads, a massive expanse of sheltered inland estuary where the river Fal exits between Pendennis Castle and St Mawes Castle. Launching can be found easily at Point Quay or else head for Loe Beach and hire your water kit from Loe Beach Watersports (check out the webcam).
Sailing – if you enjoy sailing or want to learn, contact Loe Beach water sports and book yourself a lesson or a boat to sail.

If you need to hire a bike then this is a very easy a local location. Hire a bike here, cycle up to the north coast which is only about 10 miles. The café here is really good as well, great to sit down at the end of a ride and have a bit of cake and coffee.

Great kick off point if the tides work for a paddle out and round to King Harry Ferry.

Beautiful, if you were to paint a picture of the idyllic coastal town, then this is it. Highly recommend parking at Lelant Saltings or St Erth and taking the train, the views are amazing (if you are heading to St Ives, sit on the RIGHT side for the best view).

Stunning. It will be busy in the peak season, so get there early. Some great walks along the coast. A recommendation for walking is park in Mullion and walk all the way round to Lizard, have some fish and chips or a drink in the pub then catch the bus back to Mullion.

A very pretty and VERY famous harbour. It gets super busy in the summer. Home to the Tate St Ives. Best plan is to park at St Erth and catch the train taking in some amazing views. Top tip - St Erth to St Ives - sit on the right side, that's the sea side and best views.

On the side of the creak near Mylor Bridge it's not to be missed. A pub right on the waters edge, in fact in the water! It has a long jetty that runs out into the water to sit on, eat and drink the day away. It’s exposed due to it jutting out into the water so we’d recommend taking some warm clothing with you to fully enjoy your visit. Great food and amazing location.
