Sightseeing
The Homer “spit” is a skinny length of land that reaches out into Kachemak Bay from Homer. It is a natural formation from glacial movement, and was significantly altered by the 1964 earthquake. It now houses shops, fishing charters, the Homer harbor, and of course, the Salty Dawg Saloon

A personal car is the best way to get around Homer. There is a great pedestrian and bike path on the spit and traveling out East End Road
Book before you go
