Chartham Vineyard
Station Road20 minute drive from Wingham. Easy day out.
Some directions for you.
The main point for you to consider is please don't try to walk to us along Staple Road. It would appear to be direct. And it is. But there is no path. Cars and big tractors travel at speed along this windy lane and they don't expect to happen upon walkers in the road. It's dangerous for pedestrians.
If I were you, I’d turn right out the cottage and Right into South Ct Drive and all the way to the end into the alley which opens out onto a footpath over the fields for 100 metres and then drops onto Staple Road.
A short 100 metres along Staple Road and turn right onto Danbridge Farm Road.
You are now walking along a long, straight track, parallel to Staple Road for about a mile. Its a lovely stroll past long lines of new Pear plantings.
By the time you reach the end of that track, you're in Staple. Take a sharp right and then through a gap in the left of the hedge you will walk down the side of a field where on your left will be a gate that you take passing ends of gardens etc.. keep to the path and this will take you out onto the road called School Lane.. take a right up lower road in Staple and continue straight until you reach Barnsole Vineyard. Lower Road is safer for pedestrians.
