Best NEARBY nature areas 🌳🌲
Parks, trees, fish (?) and all that amazing nature-y stuff
Need some trees in your life? Or ducks? Or playgroundSs for Littles?Playgrounds for yourself? or a nice multi-use trail? Look no further.
Escape the inundation of the large scale Edmond metropolis life [yes, sarcasm] right here!
Hafer Park is, in my incredibly important opinion, the gem of the town.
Fine, Edmond is technically a city.

Amazing that it’s adjacent to such a hub of constant activity (UCO, Edmond Rd) but Fink Park is a small respite. A well paved trail meets you immediately after parking; either near the playground or ‘below’* near the entrance across from the UCO campus.
PRO TIP- Park in the lot near the pavilion/picnic tables. To the East (or left, whatever) there is a trail that is my FAVORITE for walking/longboarding**
*in terms of elevation, not status
**skateboarding but ....not. [***]
***skateboarding is cool and I’m sure you could do it at Fink Park, I’m just in my Thirties and am too old to skateboard so I Longboard. Which is also cool. I’m cool. You’re cool.

Slightly further than Hafer/Fink parks, but by that I am literally meaning it’s about a 5-6 minute drive. Hafer park is my original soul mate park, but Mitch Park is admittedly younger and bustling with expansive trails and excitement. Don’t tell Hafer I said that 😬.
-Decked out YMCA in the same parking lot (somehow); vey nice facility indeed!
-Skatepark
-playground
-watch for flying parachutists?? It’s wild. I see them constantly here!
