Food scene

Try and book in advance if you can, but they will try and accommodate walk ins too. The food is always great and it’s a stones throw from the house. The views over the river are great, you can even wave at the Sabrina boat as it goes by. Dogs are allowed outside and in the bar area.

The atmosphere inside is always cosy, buzzing and joyful. Everyone is there for social drinks and great big gatherings, as well as a few cosy ones! The food is amazing, especially on a Sunday. The history of the place always sells it for me too, there’s so much to look at! Dogs are welcome everywhere too!

Coffee/Cafe scene

For quick brews and baked good
Patch, the friendliest human, is always accompanied by Poncho, the friendliest and most chilled Spring Spaniel you’ll ever meet. He does coffees, smoothies, tea and also sells amazing local ice cream. There’s always a bench or chairs to sit out front and watch the world go by at the market hall.

Actually called Ottolive, AirBnb won’t change it. These guys do amazing sweet and savoury items, great for after a Park Run in the quarry and are across the road from Patch’s coffee shop. Tiny Bakehouse but full of love!
