The closest beach...Usually deserted, a lovely long walk, especially when the tide is out. Out the driveway, turn left, 15 gorgeous minutes... (When you get there, park on the side of the road, not in the small emergency vehicle area). More detailed directions in the book in the cottage

A little seaside town, with a pretty beach and fun things for kids and adults. A lovely drive, about 40 minutes. Can you find the Titanic (and lots of other ships) floating there? (Hint - look down...)

Cape Sable Island is full of little, typical NS fishing villages. Drive to the lighthouse and Hawk Beach, which is just spectacular. It's about an hour drive and well worth it...
