This is the southernmost point in mainland NS. It is rugged and has spectacular views. We usually come here a couple of times a week and walk back along the road. When there is wind, there can be some big rollers and waves...

Cape Sable Island is full of little, typical NS fishing villages. Drive to the lighthouse and Hawk Beach, which is just spectacular. It's about an hour drive and well worth it...

Great RESTAURANT nearby. "Anchors Away". Family dining, eat-in or take-out.
CONVENIENCE STORE. Open 7:00 am- 9:00pm. Well-stocked, including 'deli'.
