"Sundance, named for the nearby Sundance Mountain, was established in 1875. The mountain was once the site of sun dancers held by Native American tribes in the area. Its cascading rock face provides a scenic backdrop to the community. - Sip & Walk Tours Each Tuesday and Wednesday during the months of July and August, local history comes to life during the "Sip and Walk Tours" Local volunteers, dressed in period costumes as historic local characters, take guests on a walking tour of the community.
