Whilst ironbridge offers fabulous little shops, pubs, museums, and cafes it’s also a central point for so many beautiful walks and bike rides. You can hire boats from here too. Definitely visit The Toybox if you’re with kids, Moonshine and Fuggles if you like gin and Maggie Mae’s vintage shop for the great clothes.

These beautiful meandering bends are just down river from us and many people
park up and enjoy them but you can walk directly to the river and along for some way - almost to the meanders - or even do a huge loop crossing the river at Cressage and Buildwas bridge. We often swim or paddle when the river is low -
With extreme care! Kingfishers, oyster catchers, herons, little egrets, otters and slow worms abound. And deer of course.

High StreetSome fabulous walks and steeped in history. Can you find the rope walk or loamhole dingle? Park in Coalbrookdale and follow the Rope Walk signs. A lovely walk but kids in particular never want to leave the streams and den building. On the other side of the main road is a little path or rough park and the hill behind ironbridge and of course lovely enginuity is right here too. A great day out in any weather.

A lovely local pub! You can walk up to the viewpoint to see the meanders from here but it’s along the road for a small portion which doesn’t feel safe. You can also look up the footpath to cressage then Shienton then along Buildwas Park on the other side of the Severn and back over Buildwas Bridge. Big walk :)

Steep and steps so not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs but a good walk to combine with a day out in Ironbridge.

The pictures on Google are from before it’s multi million pound refurbishment this year. The garden view along the Severn is fabulous - a great gastro pub destination but if you want food you may need to book. Look them up on the web :)
