Food scene

There is a lot to see and do here.. I would recommend booking a tour . This way you get to learn about the local area as well as def things you would otherwise miss. Two tour guides I recommend are Chooks Little Winery Tours or Cellar Door Tours. Both are higher experienced and offer a bespoke experience. Within walking distance is Hugo Wines, Gemtree, Dogridge and next to Dogridge is Shottesbrook. And another km down the road is Kangarilla Road Wines and Silent Noise. All beautiful wineries. We are surrounded by great restaurants, here are a few to choose from: The Salopian, The Current Shed, Little Wolf (Mitolo Wines), The McLaren Vale Pub, Double Tap Burgers, Oscars and Vasarellis. Further afield is The Star of Greece , Hortas (award winning seafood restaurant) , The Victory and The Little Rickshaw. All require prior booking.

A great experience is to be had at The Cube, from the moment of parking you are engaged in a wonderful experience. Not only is this about wine but you will shown Chester Osbornes interpretation of of his take on wine and his family. An experience not to be missed in an amazing architecturally designed building that is definitely left of centre. And the art work is not to be missed. Other worthy places to go for the art orientated are Red Pokes (an amazing exhibition of aboriginal art), The Fleurieu Arthouse, McLaren Vale Visitors Information Centre and most cellar doors support local artists exhibiting their work.

Neighbourhoods

Beaches are very close to here. Maslin Beach being the closest - a 10 minute drive. Lovely long beaches that are great to walk along or swim at. Other beaches worth going to are Port Norlunga (has a long jetty that ends at the reef, Aldinga Beach, Port Wilunga (Star of Greece Restaurant is here ) and Moana.
