Getting around
NJ Transit serves Asbury Park.
You can get a train from Penn Station, NY to Asbury or from Newark NJ to Asbury Park. Plan for about a 60 minute journey.
Getting around
An easy city to walk, bike or bus
Asbury Park is quite flat which makes it easy to walk or bike. There is a strong bike culture in the city. There are also scooter you can rent on the street. Walking along the boardwalk or through Main Street or Cookman leads to interesting sights and sounds. There is a city bus that travels parallel to the beach but is often empty!
