A must stop for BBQ lovers. Try their statement pulled pork, or go crazy with a Heaven sandwich (fried egg), or BBQue - belly barbecue sandwich with collard greens (my fave). This place was featured on a few TV shows and their meat is a special type. They also have Fu-Q tofu and salmon, I love the smoked bbq salmon on a salad for a lighter option.

A great local history tour of James Madison's home. The inside tour showcases the home of Mr. Madison and how he helped author the Constitution. The first floor and outside grounds tours also show the life as a slave on the plantation. The views are beautiful and there are hiking trails and an amazing garden to tour.

Wineries to Check Out
Italian style mostly dry wines. Some desert wines. Probably the #1 vineyard in Virginia. They have great ground there as well, a wildflower meadow you can walk through and old mansion ruins to see as well.

A piece of Gordonsville history. Check this place out for a tour on how Gordonsville served the community from pre-during and post civil war. It was the receiving hospital for union and confederate soldiers and served as the Freedman's Bureau after the war. Oh and it's really haunted, if you're into that!
